Young Children's Program:
Enrollment in these classes is limited to 10 students per class.
Twinkle Twos
A 30 minute class for two year olds intended to introduce them to the basic structure and etiquette of a dance class through games and structured play.
Dress Code: Pink leotard (available at Applause), pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes.
Tip Toe Tots
A 45 minute class for three year olds expanding on the simple lessons learned in Twinkle Twos with greater emphasis placed on following directions, musicality and the group dynamic.
Dress Code: Blue leotard (available at Applause), pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes.
Wee Ballet
A 45 minute class for four/five year olds; this class prepares the child for entrance into Pre-ballet an introduction to Primary. Basic ballet vocabulary and movements
are introduced with silliness and freedom to express their joy for dance with greater focus on following directions, memory, and
spacial awareness.
Dress Code: lavendar leotard (available at Applause), pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes.
Pre-Ballet
A 45 minute class for six/seven year olds; this class prepares the child for entrance into Primary, the first level of the Elevé Ballet Academy. Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary curriculum is taught for basic ballet vocabulary and movements.
Dress Code: white leotard (available at Applause), pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes.
Academy Program:Enrollment in these classes is limited to 15 students per class.
Primary
The first level of the Academy Program, Primary is a 1 hour ballet class for children six years and older(based upon teachers discretion). Students are introduced to the structure of a ballet class and will learn the discipline and etiquette that is necessary to progress through subsequent levels. Primary is usually a 3 year program. Primary 1 & 2 class meets once a week. Primary 3 meets twice a week.
Dress Code: Pink cap sleeve leotard (Capezio 1481C) with pink pull-on-skirt (Capezio 1483C), pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Serious Academic students weekly sample:
*optional,but highly recommended
Primary 3
- minimum of 2hrs. of ballet a week.
- 2hrs of flamenco
- 1hr. of pilates
Level classes are preparatory courses for ABT Exams.
Level 1
A one hour ballet class for children eight years and older. Some prior dance experience is recommended. Class meets twice a week.
Dress Code: Mint cap sleeve leotard (Capezio 1481C), mint pull-on-skirt (Capezio 1483C), pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Level 2
A one hour ballet class for children nine years and older. 1 - 2 years prior ballet experience is recommended. Class meets twice a week.
Dress Code: Lavender cap sleeve leotard (Capezio 1481C), pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Level 3
*optional,but highly recommended
Serious Academic students weekly sample:
Academy Level Students
- minimum of 3hrs. of ballet a week.
- 2hrs of flamenco
- 1hr. modern
- 1-2hrs. other form of dance
- 1hr. of pilates
- repertoire
Level 3
A one hour and a half ballet class for children ten years and older. 2 -3 years prior ballet experience is recommended. Class meets twice a week.
Dress Code: Forget-me-not camisole leotard (Capezio 1480C), optoinal forget-me-not wrap skirt (Capezio 1471C), pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Level 4/5
A one hour and a half ballet class for children eleven years and older. 3-4 years prior ballet experience is recommended. Class meets three times a week.
Dress Code:
Level 4 - Dark rose camisole leotard (Capezio 1469), optional dark rose wrap skirt (Capezio 1471),pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Level 5 - Damson plum cap sleeve leotard (Capezio 1470), pink ballet tights, pink full-sole ballet shoes.
Anaite 7 yrs. old
Flamenco A two hour class for children nine years and older. Some prior dance experience is necessary. Class meets once a week.
Dress Code: Black leotard, black flamenco skirt, black flamenco shoes.
Pilates
Pilates will strengthen, tone & sculpt the muscles, improve flexibility and balance, & align the spine thereby improving posture. Pilates is instrumental in the prevention of sports & dance related injury. A one hour mat class is offered twice a week. Must be at least nine years old to attend. Private reformer classes available by appointment.
Dress Code: Clothes must be such that you can move uninhibited. Form fitting clothes are preferred so that the instructor can see your body and it's movements. PAB students should wear leotard and tights.
