Anaité Arnold - Director
Anaité brings to Elevé Ballet Academy over 20 years of accomplishments both as a performer and a dance educator. She started dancing when she was four years old, her performance experience includes such diverse forms as Classical Ballet, Classical Spanish Dance, Modern, Mexican Folk Dance, Flamenco and Persian among others. Dancers today are expected to be well rounded and capable of multiple styles and forms. Her vast knowledge and professional dance experience around the world gives her the advantage as a dance educator to facilitate the development of young artists capable of adapting to any style.Miss Arnold holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Los Angeles, a Post-Graduate Certificate from the Laban Center in London, has taken teacher certification courses from Royal Academy of Dance, studied Flamenco in Granada, Spain and is a certified Pilates instructor. Most recently she attended teacher training at American Ballet Theatre in New York City.

Hiromi
Yamazaki
was born and raised in Northern California, She began her
dance training with the Marin Ballet School and on full scholarship at the San
Francisco Ballet School. In 1994, she
won first place in the ballet division at the Music Center Spotlight Award
Competition in Los Angeles, and in 1995, was awarded the Encouragement Award at
the International Ballet Concours in South Korea. Professionally, Hiromi has danced with Houston Ballet and
BalletMet Columbus, where she performed various classical and contemporary
works by choreographers including Stanton Welch, David Nixon, Jiri Kylian,
James Kudelka, Mark Morris, Lila York, Julia Adam, and Birgit Scherzer.
At Houston Ballet, she has performed lead roles including
Princess Vasilisa in James Kudelka’s Firebird,
Stanton Welch’s Maninyas, Nosotros, and Chairman Dances, and Jiri Kylian’s Forgotten Land. During her
career with BalletMet Columbus, Hiromi performed principal roles as Princess
Aurora in TheSleeping Beauty, Swanhilda in Coppelia,
Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara in The
Nutcracker, Titania in AMidsummer Night’s Dream, and originated
the role of Kitri in Stanton Welch’s Don
Quixote.
Hiromi has attended both the Finis Jhung Teacher Training
Intensive in Los Angeles and the American Ballet Theatre’s Teacher Training
Intensive in New York City. Currently,
she holds a teaching certification (Primary to Level 3) from American Ballet
Theatre and is also pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Mary’s College of
California.
